What to put in your brief.
- Grade: specialty or commercial, and the process you want, washed or natural.
- Origin or zone, if you have one. Say so if you are open.
- Annual volume and how many containers you plan per shipment.
- Delivery port and the delivery basis you prefer, FOB Djibouti or CFR.
- Timing, and whether this is a one-off or a repeat programme.
- Any certification you need. See the note on certified coffee.
Specialty and commercial.
The season lots on this site are specialty. Commercial grades for larger volumes and blends are sourced the same way: you send a brief, we come back with lots that fit, and each one carries its record. Jimma is Ethiopia's main commercial-volume region.
